Greater KC Alumnae, June Barber Scholarship

This prestigious award is presented annually in memory of June Catterlin Barber (University of Nebraska, 1928) for her years of service to Chi Omega in the Kansas City area and for her contributions to our fraternity nationally.

The money (between $1,00 - $1,500) shall be credited to the recipient’s university for application toward her tuition and fees.  The following criteria must be met in order for the applicant to be considered by the Scholarship Selection Committee:

1.    Applicant must be in good standing with her Chapter.
2.    Applicant must be an undergraduate student during the 2020-2021 academic year.
3.    Applicant must be enrolled in full-time study (12 or more credit hours).
4.    Applicant must have at least a 2.1 GPA.
5.    Applicant must demonstrate the need for financial assistance.
6.    Applicant must have current and/or permanent residence in the Greater Kansas City area, or must have graduated from a Greater Kansas City area high school; this includes Cass, Clay, Jackson, Johnson, Leavenworth, Platte, and Wyandotte counties.
